TUTORS’ TERMS

1. Eligibility

a) To be eligible to register as a Home Tutor Agency Singapore tutor, you must be a Singapore Citizen/Singapore Permanent Resident or a Valid Employment Pass holder.

b) You need to have a minimum academic qualification of an A’level certificate and good grades in the subjects that you wish to teach.

c) On the first lesson, you must produce all necessary documents to certify your academic qualifications, credentials and NRIC to the student/s.

2. Cancellation of Assignment

In the event where you decided to cancel the assignment before the first lesson that you have agreed to take up, prior notice of 48 hours before the first lesson must be given to Home Tutor Agency Singapore

If you fail to notify of your cancellation, an administrative charge of SGD 50 will be imposed.

3. Termination of Assignment

In the event where the student prematurely terminates the assignment during the first month, you will only receive 50% of payment for all your service hours. However, if the reason for the student’s termination is due to your fault as a tutor (eg. you are chronically late, did not attend lesson without any valid explanation), you will bear the full commission charge.

4. Disclaimer

Home Tutor Agency SIngapore will not act as an arbitrator or mediator for any conflicts or disagreements that arise between the tutor and the student. However, we are always prepared to offer our views and suggestions.

PARENTS’/STUDENTS’ TERMS

1. Commission

A one-time commission of 50% of the first month tuition fee will be payable by you, which we will collect directly from you or the student, after the 2nd week of tuition. A receipt will be issued upon payment. You are advised to keep this receipt for documentation purpose.

2. Cancellation of Assignment

In the event where you decided to cancel the assignment before the first lesson that you have agreed to take up, prior notice of 48 hours before the first lesson must be given to Home Tutor Agency Singapore

If you fail to notify of your cancellation, an administrative charge of SGD 50 will be imposed.

3. Termination of Assignment

The minimum commitment period of an assignment is 1 month. In the event where you terminate an assignment before the first month, HomeTutorAgency.com  will recover her legal share of the one-time commission of 50% of the first month tuition fee from you.

Terms of Service and Payment of Agency Fee

Home Tutor Agency will collect an agency fee from the parent/student after half of the 1st salary period’s lessons has completed. 1 salary period=4 weeks. This amount will be 50% of tutors’ agreed salary (for 1 salary period). The balance 50% can be paid directly to the tutor upon completion of the lessons for the 1st salary period.

Example:
1 salary period consist of (4 lessons x 2 hours/lesson), with tuition fee = $50/hr
Tuition agency fee = 50% x (8 hours x $50) = $200

Balance of $200 to be paid to the tutor at end of 4th lesson.
Modes Of Payment

1) Cash Payment: Our  representative will personally contact you and collect from
you.

2) Bank Fund Transfer – POSB Savings A/C:

Note: This is not an extra cost to parents. This is the commission we collect from tutors.
